The Portuguese Communist Youth is calling for all young people to mobilize for the general strike scheduled for tomorrow, June 3, against the Labor Package. This movement aims to show the government that the proposed package is unacceptable and must be rejected. The youth of this country face a reality of precariousness and demand work with rights and future perspectives. Among the contested proposals is the bank of hours, which allows a worker to work an extra month without additional pay, as well as the extension of precarious contracts for up to three years. The Communist Youth emphasizes that these measures represent a setback in rights won over decades. The people of Madeira are invited to a gathering organized by CGTP-IN and USAM, which will take place at 11:30 AM next to the Madeira Legislative Assembly. This act aims to show both the Republic Government and the Regional Government that the youth are united in the fight for a better future.
